An Update from Children’s Ministry

Our theme this year is “Relationships.” The most important relationship is our relationship with God, then our relationship with each other. We want our kids to feel loved and welcomed and to help them grow their passion for Jesus Christ.

Our verse is Matthew 19:14, “Jesus said, Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these”.

In November the kids are participating in Reach Out Week (ROW) by donating food for CROSS, Christians Reaching Out through Social Services. This is a great way for the kids to learn that they can make a big difference in the lives of others.

In December there will be a Children’s choir singing at both of the Christmas Eve services. The kids really enjoy singing Christmas carols. This is such a blessing for their families and friends and for Northwood.

Our children’s ministry has had a great year so far. We look forward to an amazing last two months of 2012 by worshipping, learning and praising God together right into 2013!

A little about Children’s Ministry
Northwood’s Children’s Ministry is committed to partnering with parents in nurturing and helping our kids Know Jesus, Love him and Grow in their faith. Each week the kids are learning Biblical truths through Bible stories and learning how to apply those truths to their everyday life. They are also worshipping by singing and learning Bible verses and having fun activities and games that help reinforce what they have learned.

Northwood children can participate in classes at 9:30, including birth through 5th grade and at 10:50, birth through 6th grade. Our teaching team is very excited to greet the kids each week. They are dedicated to Christ and want to help the kids have a relationship with Jesus!
