Baptism is a public profession of personal belief. In baptism a believer publicly acknowledges their belief in and commitment to Jesus Christ. In Matthew 10:32 – 33, Jesus said, “Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven. But whoever disowns me before men, I will also disown him before my Father in heaven.” Baptism says, “I believe in Jesus and want everyone to know it!”
Northwood’s annual Baptism Service is set for Sunday, June 25, 5 p.m., at Weaver Lake Beach and Park. Northwooders will profess their faith in Jesus Christ through water baptism and there’s always room for more!
