Thanksgiving is coming up, and most of us will feed ourselves silly as we remember the things for which we’re thankful. Meanwhile, many children around the world will be starving in a tragic irony during the holidays. Thankfully, there’s something we can do to help.
You’re invited to help give some of these children something to be thankful for. On Wednesday, Nov. 22 (Thanksgiving-Eve) we will be putting the needs of others before our own by helping to package thousands of meals for starving children around the world.
We’re inviting all of Northwood and then some. Bring your mom, dad, brother, sister, grandparents, cousins, neighbors, coworkers, classmates, whoever,* to help pack meals! It’s a perfect lesson for young ones on serving others, and a reminder for the older ones about all the reasons we have to be thankful.
There are two shifts, so there should be a time and space for you and anyone you want to invite. Go ahead and click your desired shift below to sign up! (Yes, you can sign up for both if you want.)
So before you chomp on that turkey leg, why not take 90 minutes and help save thousands of children?
*food packers must be 5 years old and above
