How Do You Really Know You’re A Christian? [July 10, 2011]

Description: The Apostle John wrote his gospel to persuade people to believe in Jesus so they could “have life in his name” (John 20:31).  Later, John wrote his first letter to help people live with assurance of their salvation.  1 John lists several “markers” – tests – that prove someone is part of God’s family and knows him.  Why is this important?  Because God doesn’t want us going through life wondering if we really know him or not.  He wants us to live every day with assurance and confidence that we are part of his family.  What does God say his children look like?  Want to know?
