One of the most common and biggest barriers to good neighboring is
time. Our lives are busy, full and filled with existing commitments and relationships.
Jesus tells us there is a different way and rhythm to live. He did so through the story
of Mary and Martha in Luke 10:38 – 42, the story that follows the Good Samaritan
story in Luke’s gospel. Is that coincidence? Or, do you think that maybe God is
reminding us that to be a good neighbor we need to create space in our lives for
relationships with our neighbors. So, how do we do that?
