Men Take the 40-day Challenge by Craig McLain
Thirty-two men from Northwood joined together in February at Big Sandy Camp in McGregor for the 2015 Men’s Retreat. The theme for this weekend was “A Life of Devotion.” Upon arrival men were greeted with the promise that the weekend held the power to change their life and God fulfilled this promise in countless ways. Men were encouraged to dig deep and honestly examine what their calendars had to say about the priority placed on nurturing a daily relationship with God. Men left the retreat with a renewed focus and commitment to stand accountable to each other by committing to a 40-day challenge of spending seven minutes a day with God. Men being men, time was also set apart for a little “boy time” as many of us realized just how far we’ve come in our “maturity!”
On March 21 all the men are gathering for a time of encouragement and sharing stories of victories and challenges at Northwood House at 9:30 a.m. Coffee, juice, water, and donuts provided. Ray Moore and Craig McLain will lead the event.
