Church is a Team Sport

Acts & Us

Luke gives us a wonderful story in Acts 6 about the importance of feeding hungry people. The story, though, is not primarily about “feeding the hungry,” important as that is. The story is primarily about how God calls every believer into ministry and that every ministry is important, no matter what it is. Further, not everyone is called to the same ministry, we are called to different ministries that fit us and the needs around us. In short, church is a team sport that requires every player to be in the game and do their part. So, what’s your role in Team Northwood? What has God called you to do? Whatever it is, Northwood needs you to be in the game and do your part so God’s kingdom can grow and lives be impacted for Jesus Christ. So, again, what’s your role in in Team Northwood?
