Mission trips are incubators for life change. We get out of our routine and our normal surrounding which makes us more open to new experiences. Our philosophy of missions is that a change of place plus a change of pace equals a change of perspective.
We’re going to experience something new and build something wonderful this summer. Northwooders are invited to join the Pine Ridge Mission Trip, a venture out west for Northwood adults and families. We’ll spend a week on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota, where we will build a house for a family in need. It is a cross-cultural trip to the poorest place in the United States, and a great opportunity to experience the joy of serving others.
We’ll head west from July 1-9, taking advantage of the holiday break. While in Pine Ridge we will construct a tiny home to help a family, and learn about life on the reservation. This trip is for Northwooders 18+ years old. (Students 14+ years old may attend with their family.)
