Northwood Kids Midweek Off to a Fantastic Start

You couldn’t have asked for a better start to Northwood’s new kids midweek program. Attendance during October surpassed expectations with more than 20 kids attending each week, many of them friends who don’t attend Northwood. Northwood Kids Midweek program is designed to help kids put their faith into action. For instance, this past month kids learned that God can give them courage in times of fear and uncertainty and that true courage is “doing what is right even when you are afraid”. Over the course of the month kids really opened up about fears they are facing and reinforced just how important it is to discuss this topic with kids.

During the month of November kids will be learning how to show honor to others. The theme is based on Romans 12:10 which says, “Love one another deeply. Honor others more than yourself.” We encourage every Northwood kid to join us as we learn that people deserve to be honored for who they are, not just for what they do. If your kid hasn’t come on a Wednesday you are strongly encouraged to check it out, it’s not too late to join. Just show up at 6pm on Wednesday nights at the Northwood House.
