There are over 51 million forcibly displaced people around the world – more than any time since the end of WWII. Refugees seek protection and acceptance to build their life, but in reality they often experience social exclusion, largely by being ignored, marginalized or barred by country borders.
On June 14 Northwood will acknowledge World Refugee Sunday by hosting IAFR leaders Tom Albinson and Sarah Miller speak. Tom will give us an up to date report on refuges as well as remind us what refugees contribute to the world. Sarah Miller will share a FaithStory about her ministry with displaced persons in the Twin Cities.
