A Living Church Loves People
Acts 2 gives us the story of the very first church in history. She was an amazing church with four distinct marks that described its powerful ministry: loving, learning, worshipping, outreaching. It’s interesting to note that while the rest of the New Testament refers to other churches in other places, the Acts 2 church is only one we have such a complete and thorough description of. Could the reason be that the Acts 2 church is a model and example of what Jesus wants every church to be like? That the marks of the Acts 2 church should describe every church? Today we’ll look at being a loving church and the ways the Acts 2 church lived that out in their relationships and ministry. We’ll learn from their example and consider what being a loving church means for Northwood’s present and future ministry.
