Nameless Nephew to the Rescue
The Bible is filled with lots of stories of memorable people who did great things for God – Abraham, Joseph, Moses, Samuel, David, Elijah, Elisha, Daniel, John the Baptist, Peter, James, Paul. But, along the way the Bible includes lots of “nameless” people, too, who did God’s work and never got their names mentioned in God’s book. Paul’s nephew is one of those people. What did Paul’s nephew do? Well, God used him to save Paul’s life after 40 men took an oath to “not drink or eat until they killed Paul.” God saved Paul from assassination by having Paul’s nephew overhear (coincidence?) their plot. Today, God uses lots of “nameless nephews” to do all kinds of important and great things for him. Maybe you’re one of them!
