One Great Church
Do you know where believers in Jesus were first called Christians? It was in the church in Antioch of Syria. The church in Antioch was an amazing church – similar in many ways to the church in Jerusalem described in Acts 2. It loved to learn about Jesus. It sent money to the church in Jerusalem to help them during a famine. It reached out to people in its community and many became believers in Jesus (i.e. Christians). It sent missionaries into the world to share the message of Jesus. It was a praying church. The church in Antioch was a Holy Spirit filled church that did great things for God – it was a loving church, a learning church, a worshipping church, and an outreaching church, just like the Acts 2 church. So, can we be like the Antioch church? Yes, we can? Yes, we are!
